The Code of Conduct for Leasing of Retail Premises in Singapore released on 26 Mar 2021 brought many cheers from the retailers. While the Fair Tenancy Pro Tem Committee proposed to the government that the Code of Conduct be mandatory, the proposal still has to go through legislative due process for the code to have any legal teeth.
